This story is about Emily Gap and how the Caterpillars spread out towards the Todd River.
Above: This is Emily Gap Waterhole
Emily Gap is the most important place in the whole region. Groups of Caterpillars travelled from Amperrknge (Central Mt Stuart) and Finke River and went through Emily Gap. There lived some Stinky Beetles at Emily Gap. They had a fight and the stinky beetles bit the caterpillars heads off. Some pieces were thrown aside. At one spot they sat down and painted themselves for a ceremony. The ones that were left were trying to make Alice Springs. Some of the Caterpillars spread out towards Todd River. They were the three main ones; Ayeperenye, Ntyarlke, Utnerrengatye.
