HUNTING AND COOKING
The best way to hunt a kangaroo is with a gun. You have to be really quiet to sneak up because it has very good hearing.

Kangaroo meat is very, very important meat. There are special ways to cut up the kangaroo and share the meat. First you cut a hole in the skin on the gut. You cut in the middle of the hole and look for fats. Then you take the guts out and put it on the green tree leaves. Cut the stomach open and clean it with water. You get a hard stick from the creek and you stitch the skin together. Shovel a hole that the kangaroo can fit in. Light a fire in the hole and cook the kangaroo for half an hour.

To eat kangaroo you cut the legs off at the hips. Cut off the long feet. Roll it over and cut the rib part. Cut the small arms at the shoulder then cut the head off at the neck. The last piece to cut is the tail. Scrape the skin off with a stick or knife. Now you can choose the part you want to eat. You can drink the warm blood from the thighs.

Lindberg learnt how to cook and cut the kangaroo from his father and his family.
