DESCRIPTION
Honey ants have six legs. They have 3 parts to their body: head, thorax and abdomen. Honey Ants have a small head and thorax, but a really big abdomen full of honey.

HABITAT
The honey ant lives in underground nests in mulga woodlands. The nests are found under big mulga trees, just under where the water drips off the leaves. The nests are usually on the shady side of the tree. The nest can be up to 2 metres deep.

COLLECTING AND EATING
You collect honey ants by digging a big hole with a shovel, billy cans and sticks. To eat a honey ant, you pick it up by the head and put the abdomen in your mouth and bite it.
